State鈥檚 only graduate construction degree program to launch at 六合彩开奖网

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 new Master of Science in Construction Management degree program launching next month at Mississippi State will further prepare students for leadership roles in today鈥檚 construction industry.

Recently approved by the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, the program housed in the Department of Building Construction Science offers the state鈥檚 only graduate degree in construction management. Students can opt for one of two tracks鈥攁 research or professional track tailored to the diverse needs of professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction, or AEC, sectors.

The new master鈥檚 degree program is now accepting students for the upcoming fall semester with an Aug. 1 deadline. Courses for the degree can be completed via online learning or through in-person classes in Starkville, and applications can be completed through the 六合彩开奖网 Graduate School, found online at .听

Dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Design Angi Elsea Bourgeois said she is extremely proud of the faculty and leadership who have worked to open new pathways for those seeking to participate in the construction profession鈥檚 growth.听

鈥淒rawing on the strengths of the existing undergraduate program, the new Master of Science in Construction Management creates exciting new opportunities for students interested in this booming sector of the economy,鈥 said Bourgeois, who also serves as interim dean of the Graduate School.

Saeed Rokooei, associate professor and graduate program coordinator, said the curriculum was uniquely developed in close collaboration with the Department of Building Construction Science鈥檚 Industry Advisory Board, a group comprised of leading construction professionals and alumni. This collaboration helped establish courses that reflect the latest trends in technology, data analysis and project management to meet evolving industry needs.

鈥淭he close working relationship between our faculty and industry professionals ensures that students gain firsthand insight into current and future industry demands, preparing them for real-world challenges and opportunities,鈥 Rokooei said. 鈥淥ur interdisciplinary approach, supported by strong industry partnerships, equips graduates with advanced technical knowledge and managerial skills鈥攇iving them a distinct advantage in the job market and empowering them to become leaders in the field.鈥
